- Some German-speaking players refer to a 2LT rank as the German slang-term for French fries, which is "Pommes". This is due mostly to the symbol for 2LT loosely resembling a French fry. Interestingly enough, First Lieutenant ranks are referred to as "Silberpommes", which simply means "silver french fry".
- English-speaking players, usually Americans, commonly refer to a 2LT rank as a "butterbar" and "Twinky" due to the rank icon also loosely resembling a bar of butter or a Twinky. Sometimes, 1LT ranks are referred to as "cream cheese," but that`s rather rare.
- Italian-speaking players usually refer to 2LT as the <<"I" di bronzo>>, which means <<bronze "I">> due to the rank icon resembling to the "I" letter too.
- It is the first achievable officer rank.
