No Register, also known as No Reg, is a very important yet annoying glitch.

Overview[]

When it occurs, your shots, weapons, mines, and other items will not register, meaning that it will seem like they didn't exist. This can be very annoying when you are deploying certain items (like mines or medkits) and especially when you manage to kill someone, only for none of the damage to hit.

The best way to avoid total No Register is to take your handgun and shoot the ground, wall, object, or item several times before doing anything else. This way, the system will at least partially recognize your shots and the issue should be resolved within a few rounds/games.

No Register occurs because Nexon has depicted that the bullet shot out of your weapon depends on whether you're alive first or not.

For example: We have player A and player B. Player A fires a shot, but glitches somehow when player B fires at A. Nexon will register that B fired first, hence when the time A fired at B, it was counted as B fired at A first. Since B fired A first (based on Nexon's system of hit register), A dies and the system thinks that the bullet A fired never reached to B (but B's name still blinks for A's screen); this means that to the system, B killed A first and A never fired a shot at all. Nexon implemented a system where ALL shots are cancelled except thrown grenades (and RPGs), resulting the moment A dies, all of A's bullets are cancelled, resulting in a "no register" since the system registered that B killed A before A had a chance to fire. This is probably done so that there wouldn't be any circumstances where B and A kill each other off simultaneously, which would probably would annoy players a lot when both sides die at the same time.

Trivia[]

  • No Reg occurs more often and more severely for players with slow connections.
  • No Reg is most common on headshots that do not register. This makes it a common annoyance for snipers.
