A Host Infected is a type of Infected. They receive their Infection through some unknown means instead of having it passed on through someone else.

Trivia

• Host Infected always have more HP than Viral Infected.
• Host Infected have pale, white faces, which are different from the red, bloody faces of the Viral Infected.
• Charger Infected in Fireteam have the appearance of Host Infected.
• The Host Infected featured in the Quarantine Mode Trailer have yellow glowing eyes. In-game, their eyes are red like Viral Infected.
• The Host Infected's eyes are obscured by the red glow; they have pupils and irises like regular humans.
