Two years prior, Deckland left the JSF when his daughter was infected by an experimental super virus. He joined the police to stay near her during her treatments, but has been forced to turn mercenary to pay for her medical bills. He is renowned for his patience and his keen eye for urban warfare.

A former Delta commander, Deckland has an unparalleled knowledge of counter-terrorism tactics and urban operations.
  — Old Description

Deckland is a male Mercenary who was released on the 6-15-12 Patch. His original version is the Classic Deckland. Deckland was available for 'hire' in the Black Market and the Shop for 7 or 30 days until the reboot and Reloaded changes happened.

Deckland is male mercenary available for purchase from the store. In Reloaded, he is free due to being available for use in Pure Combat. Deckland provides minimal stats in both versions of Combat Arms, but he does stand out from other characters and has multiple cosmetics.

Deckland has his own items, Deckland's F2000 Tactical and the Deckland's Face Paint.

Deckland wears the typical US army combat outfit. The color of the camo is dark beige and has even darker colored beige knee and elbow pads. Deckland wears typical military running shoes which are black. Along his waist is a belt which he has multiple pockets for additional ammo, as well as a holster for a gun along his right side. Deckland wears a bullet-proof vest over his chest (like Cpt. Souza) and wears long, green and black gloves that seem to go under his sleeves. Deckland is also shown having his sleives rolled up. Deckland's collar is rather large, leaving much space for his head. He has short brown hair and brown eyes.

A former Strike Force commander of Special Forces Operations Detachment - Delta, Deckland was recruited by the private military corporation "Warcorp" for his unparalleled knowledge of counter-terrorism tactics and urban operations. Over his nine year tenure with Delta, he carried out over 27 highly classified combat missions, developing a specialty in extracting high value targets from hot zones.

Deckland seems to find the base motivations of most of his current mercenary compatriots contemptible, and it remains a mystery why such a decorated veteran would seek employment with a PMC that is widely reviled and regarded to be unscrupulous. Sources point to his visits to a young, terminally-ill patient at a stateside hospital; unconfirmed reports indicate this may be his illegitimate daughter, but the ultra-professional soldier rebuffs all comment about his personal life.

  • Contrary to what some players believe, Deckland's camo is not the standard used by the U.S. Army, as they wear ACUs in Universal Camouflage Pattern. Deckland's camo is sort of in a "tiger stripe" pattern, ressembling the US Air Force's ABUs.
