Sub-Boss

A Sub-Boss is a rare enemy that appears halfway through a mission, or infrequently throughout the game.

Overview[]

Sub-bosses are much tougher than standard enemies, but they aren't as difficult to defeat as the true Boss of a mission. Furthermore, Sub-Bosses may appear more than once throughout a mission.

The Crusher is an example of a sub-boss. While there is only one on Round 11 of Cabin Fever, more will appear as the rounds progress.

D.R.E.A.D. is another example. Though it appears as the main boss of NEMEXIS HQ, it has a minor role as a sub-boss in Battle at City Center (NEMEXIS Labs?).
